MY credentialing INformation

I received my Master of Arts degree from Doane College at the Lincoln campus in 2013 in Counseling. (Doane College has subsequently changed its name to Doane University.) The Counseling program at Doane was geared toward educating mental health practitioners. Its program included extensive intern and practicum experience—far more than required under Nebraska law for such programs. Graduates from this program received the training necessary under Nebraska law to qualify for licensure as mental health counselors.

I hold the following licenses under Nebraska law: Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP), #4793; Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), #2302; and Certified Disordered Gambling Counselor (CDGC), Certificate #25 GAP 2016-2018.

My LMHP and LPC licenses are issued by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services—Division of Public Health. Department contact information is:

Prior to my employment as a counselor at Lincoln Behavioral Health Clinic (402-489-9959, lbhc.biz), I worked at Choices Treatment Center in Lincoln, Nebraska as a mental health counselor for four years. In my internship training at Doane College, I provided counseling to patients at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska for nine months under the Neuropsychology Department at Madonna. My practicum training at Doane College included counseling for veterans at the Mental Health Clinic Substance Abuse Treatment Program, Veterans Administration, Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System in Lincoln, Nebraska.
